I was writing software long before it was fashionable to bolt "AI" onto everything. I design and build systems end to end - from the database schema up to the button someone actually clicks: Angular, React, C#, .NET, TypeScript, NestJS, and SQL, deployed on Microsoft cloud. I like problems where the hard part isn't the code, it's understanding how the work really gets done before you dare model it.
I run Avid Lab Technology, a one-person software shop out of Port Moody. Some of my best ideas start away from the keyboard - one of them began with my wife's meatball recipe and ended with me writing a whole kitchen-booking platform. (Read the whole thing here.)

- CommiShare - booking & operations platform for shared commissary kitchens
- Assessment Analyst - GAMA (Esri) - contributed as a software developer to Esri's cloud, ArcGIS-based mass-appraisal platform that helps assessment authorities produce fairer, more defensible property valuations

Off the clock
Cooking comes first - above all the rest. I cook Italian, properly and patiently, and I bake, which is really just engineering you're allowed to eat: precise, unforgiving, and deeply satisfying the moment it works. Give me a slow Sunday and a hot oven and I'm a happy man.
Before the keyboard, there was a ball. I played football for years - indoor and outdoor - and grew up reading Match and World Soccer, following Serie A through its golden age: Ronaldo when he was unplayable, Zidane making it look like art, and Maldini at the back like a locked door. When I wasn't chasing a ball or a football magazine, I was hunting down a copy of Popular Electronics to build something on the kitchen table. That habit never left me - it just grew up and turned into a career.
But the oven still wins. It always did.
